Question O2 sensor problems..

Hi there, have a Couple questions for someone who can help me! I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7L 4x4, it has a six inch lift, headers, cold air intake, dual exhaust.. When we did the headers and dual exhaust in my truck we had issues with the 02 sensors and used the non fouler trick (thanks to this site) and the issue seemed solved! Recently the check engine light came back on, and the truck has started stalling out, it will run great and all of a sudden start to die, but I just step on the gas and it will sputter a bit then carry on it way. Got a code reading today and it came back saying its the 02 sensors.. So what do I do now? Is it really the sensors, do I need to just replace them with new ones? Thanks in advance.

What is the codes? If it is the rear o2's then maybe packed some 0000 steel wool into the non foulers.

Post the actual codes and it will probably at least help identify the sensor. If a sensor issue is causing engine issues, though, it is probably the upstream one.

I found this online: The oxygen sensor is saying that the system air/fuel mix is far too rich (too much air is being added as a correction).. So, how the hell do I fix this? Or is my O2 sensor just faulty? Should I replace my PCM or get it updated by dodge?..

Did you change or screw around with the position of that sensor? If you try a new one, they are found much cheaper online and dont buy Bosch.

Worth a try I'd say. I started getting codes representing a faulty CAT on my daughter's 4runner a few months ago, from the rear sensor. I could have spent a couple grand on new CATs or $60 to try a new sensor and the new sensor worked.
